Ghaly is a hospitality and real estate investment professional with over 15 years’ experience in advising investors and government organizations on the Maldivian hospitality industry. He has advised international investors on hotel investments as Head of Business Development at FJS Consulting, one of the Maldives’s leading management consultancies, where he also headed FJS Consulting’s hotel finance and brokerage practice.
Ghaly has also advised the Maldivian government on developing tourism in the Maldives, including reviewing key legislation on hotel investments. He is also well-informed on compliance and macro-economic issues with respect to the hotel industry and was formerly head of the Ministry of Tourism’s development division where he oversaw compliance for over 70 new resort developments projects and formulating national tourism strategy.
He also co-founded Cerulean View Boutique Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel concept which became the highest rated hotel in the city of Male’.
Ghaly holds an MBA from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, and a Bachelor of Tourism Management and Engineering from Universite de Toulouse le Mirail, France.

Martin co-founded Prediam Partners, an independent hospitality investment advisory firm after spending several years with PKF, a leading international hospitality consulting firm.
He has over 18 years of experience in the global hospitality industry and held positions in the hotel and real estate sectors in Europe, the US and Middle East, in operations, consulting and capital markets, with leading companies including Four Seasons, Hilton, Marriott, PKF and Melia Hotels.
Martin has operational experience in hotel sales, marketing, public relations, rooms, food and beverage and spa management and is a recognized hotels expert and a frequent participant in industry expert panels and speaker at conferences and exhibitions.
Ibrahim Saleem is the Chairman of Solarelle Insurance, the first private Maldivian insurance company. With a career spanning over 40 years’, he has extensive experience both in the public and private sector. He currently serves as a Director and shareholder of Cyprea Pvt Ltd, one of the largest diversified businesses in the Maldives which is active in hospitality, logistics, travel and trade.
He was formerly the Chairman and CEO of Island Aviation Services, the National Airline of the Maldives. Saleem has served on the Board of Directors of Dhiraagu, the largest telecommunications provider in the Maldives and held the position of Chairman at Maldives Airports Company Limited and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), a state-owned construction and logistics company.
Ibrahim Saleem was formerly the Vice Governor of the Maldives to the World Bank and Honorary Consul to Italy.
Surendran Menon is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Management Accountant with 30 years of comprehensive experience in transaction, risk management and assurance services, management and cost accounting, corporate finance, secretarial, tax and other business / financial advisory services in the Maldives and India.
He is the Senior Partner of Menon & Pai, Chartered Accountants, Chennai, India and Technical Director at FJS Associates LLP, Maldives. He was formerly the Country Head at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Maldives. Menon has Extensive experience in managing assurance, accounting, risk management and advisory assignments for several clients in diverse industries in the Maldives including several resorts such as One & Only, Club Vacanze, Resorts managed by Taj Group and Champa Group.
Menon is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.
Alex is a Chartered Financial Analyst with extensive experience in the financial industry working in London/Singapore/Hong Kong/Beijing as a hedge fund manager and investment banker. He has also originated and executed capital markets transactions in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and advised various types of organizations including local private and public companies, MNCs, SOEs, holding companies and SPVs across different industries.
Alex has worked in the investment team and investment committee of a London-based specialist credit asset manager/credit hedge fund reporting directly to the fund CIO and made investment decisions amid market volatility (Grexit, EM slowdown, commodity crisis, HY selloff, Brexit and etc.). He was formerly a consultant to one of the UK’s most highly-regarded fund managers, looking at strategic initiatives and projects.
Alex graduated with Distinction in MBA from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, and Bachelor of Science (Quantitative Finance) & Bachelor of Business Administration with First Class Honours from National University of Singapore.
Professor Andrew Baum is Visiting Professor of Management Practice at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Visiting Professor at Kenan Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina. He is the Chairman of the Investment Committee for CBRE Investors Global Multi-Manager team (AUM $86b), Executive Chairman of Property Funds Research, an international property research and consulting business and Non-Executive Chairman of Newcore Capital Management.
From July 2001 to July 2007 he was a non-executive director of Grosvenor Ltd, a UK property investment and development company; from 2004 to 2006 he was also an investment adviser to The Crown Estate. Andrew Baum has worked in senior research and investment positions for: Prudential, as Head of Property Research; Henderson Global Investors as Chief Investment Officer, Property, and as Director of International Property; and for Invesco Real Estate as Head of Strategy.
In 2001 he established Oxford Property Consultants, which by 2006 had become a leading European fund of funds manager and was sold to CBRE Investors in 2006.
He is also author of several standard real estate textbooks and was appointed Consultant Partner and Head of Strategic Research for INTERNOS Global Investors in February 2008
Anas is co-founder and Director of Prediam Partners, a boutique hospitality investment advisory firm based in Dubai, and has successfully initiated and supported numerous hospitality developments, including the 320-key Rhossos Rotana Hotel & Resort in the south of Turkey, Hometown LLC., an income producing residential hospitality portfolio in Dubai and the Four Seasons Resort Hotel and Residences in Hvar, Croatia.
He was formerly Deputy Fund Manager at SHUAA Partners, one of UAE’s pioneering financial services firms, participated in the structuring, launch and management of the SHUAA Hospitality Fund I and actively assisted in the rollout of Rotana Hotels and Resorts in the MENA region.
Prior to this, he was an Investment Analyst within the Real Estate & Direct Investments team of Dubai Islamic Bank following stints at international institutions including, Allianz Insurance Mgt. in Singapore and Capgemini in Munich, Germany.
He is also the Co-Founder of Momentum Dubai, an award-winning luxury retail concept in the UAE.

Fareeha is the co-founder of FJS Consulting, one of Maldives’s leading management consulting firms and has over twelve years’ experience in strategic management, financial and business planning, auditing, training and socioeconomic research.
Fareeha has worked with major organizations such as the State Trading Organization Plc, Maldives National Shipping Ltd, Maldives Tourism Development Corporation Plc, Housing Development Corporation Ltd, Bank of Maldives Plc and international developmental agencies including UNDP, FAO, IFAD, WHO, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
Fareeha is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (USA). She was formerly the President of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Maldives (CPA Maldives), and served on the Board of Directors of the Maldives Housing Development Finance Corporation Plc. She has served on the Board of the Maldives Pension Administration Office and was formerly the Chairperson of the Bank of Maldives.
Fizan is Partner at Shah, Hussain and Co. Barristers and Attorneys, one of the leading commercial law firms in the Maldives. He is well known within the legal profession as a prominent commercial attorney, and his clientele includes some of the leading resorts and hotels, international banks, investment firms, public and private companies, and high net-worth individuals. He has successfully closed many key international financing transactions in the Maldives for banks and resort/hotel developers, resort hotel acquisitions and investments for foreign investors, and infrastructure development projects and project finance for the Government and public companies, amongst others. In recognition for his achievements, Fizan was named by IFLR as a ‘leading lawyer’ in the Maldives in 2013.
In addition to his expertise in the tourism and hotel industry and the banking sector, Fizan has extensive hands-on experience in advising and assisting clients on investment structuring, real estate and property dealings, foreign investments and acquisitions, resort/hotel management and operations, corporate law, portfolio re-structuring, civil works and building contracts, construction finance, employment disputes (specifically in the tourism industry), and commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He also has considerable expertise in pensions and pensions-related investments – a new and fast-growing area in the Maldives – and the capital markets.
